General principle and use of personal information | Personal information will be used only for the purposes for which it was collected, and personal information is used only by authorized employees to whom it is necessary for the performance of their duties as well as third parties authorized by Alliance Credit who follows the same general principle. Federal and provincial laws require us to tell you how we collect, share and protect your personal information. Please read this notice carefully to understand what we are doing. |
The purpose of collecting personal information | The types of personal information we collect and share depends on the product or service you have with us. Depending on the product or service, we may collect personal information to: Proceed with the creation of the customer account, ensure the secure management of credit sales, verify the identity of the applicants to establish the legal relationship, particularly in the event of a dispute, carry out (or have carried out by an authorized third party) collection procedures, verify (or have verified by an authorized third party) the credit history of the consumer and/or his officers, his spouse or the co-applicant if applicable, determine the creditworthiness and verify the debtor’s eligibility for the financing requested (including automated decision-making), bank account balances, transaction history, income, establish means of correspondence with the applicant and communicate to him all important information concerning his account, verify the right of ownership of buildings or other assets and their location, obtain a credit report from an authorized third party, the consumer’s pre-employment history, the consumer’s criminal history, the consumer’s criminal history, to send you administrative notifications, financial alerts and communications relating to your use of the Service, preference information such as product wish lists, order history and marketing preferences, to fulfill your requests for certain products and services, for market research, project planning, troubleshooting problems and detecting and protecting against errors, preventing fraud and in particular identity theft or any other criminal activity, enforcing the conditions of use of Alliance Crédit and as otherwise indicated in this policy confidentiality. So the types of personal information we collect and share will relate to one of the reasons listed above and may cover; A first and last name, surname and first name of the spouse, last name and first name of the mother, last name and first name of the father, a personal address, postal code, e-mail address, an identity card number, health insurance number, number driver’s license, passport, permanent resident card, date of birth, gender, spoken and written language, place of birth, birth certificate, citizenship/status in Canada, social insurance number, home phone number home, cell phone number, marital status, child(ren)/dependent(s) (last name, first name, date of birth) education, job title, place of work, financial information such as bank account numbers or brokerage, types of investments, unique identifiers such as username, account number, password, transaction, annual income, account history/statements, verification of assets, education/training/degree, name of current employer, work address, work phone, profession/title/trade/classification, names of previous employers, names of current or previous managers, references, professional association/union, court judgment, credit score. Please note that we do not ask for any biometric information. According to the definition given by the Quebec government, biometric information is any information that can be used to identify someone based on their unique characteristics, including physical, behavioral and biological characteristics. |

Who will have access? | Employees at Alliance Crédit and third parties chosen by Alliance to whom the information is necessary for the performance of their duties. |
Content of data transfer agreements with third parties chosen by Alliance Credit | Alliance Credit imposes security measures on selected third parties to ensure “adequate protection” of the personal information concerned. Under the principle of accountability, Alliance Credit requires the chosen third party to take security measures to protect personal information that are reasonable taking into account, in particular, their sensitivity, the purpose of their use, their quantity, their distribution and their support. In addition, Alliance Credit imposes the restriction of the use of information provided to selected third parties to those for which consent has been obtained. Our contracts with our chosen third parties stipulate that the information disclosed must only be used for the purpose of performing the contract and stipulate that information which is no longer necessary for the performance of the mandate will not be retained or will be anonymized for the purpose of performing the contract use only for “serious and legitimate” purposes. Our contracts with our chosen third parties also stipulate that the third party must promptly notify us of any confidentiality incident or breach or attempted breach of confidentiality obligations and that they must “maintain a log of confidentiality incidents” and provide access sufficient for Alliance Credit to comply with the requirements of Law 25: the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec may at any time require that a copy of this register be sent to them. Finally, Alliance Credit imposes on the chosen third parties the right of verification in order to be able to ensure that the required security measures have been implemented. |
How does Alliance Crédit protect my personal information? | To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal and provincial laws. |
Does Alliance Crédit share your data with third parties. | Alliance Credit shares the personal information collected with third parties only when you have given prior authorization. These third parties are service providers who provide services to Alliance Credit and are bound by these same confidentiality restrictions. |
EDoes Alliance Crédit share your data outside of Quebec? | Alliance Credit may share personal information collected outside of Quebec when a third party is located in another province. Personal information will never leave Canada. |
Does Alliance Crédit use technological tools for profiling, localization or identification to collect personal information? | The use of profiling, location functions or identification is not deployed by Alliance Crédit. |
Right of access, rectification, de-indexation, re-indexation, cessation of dissemination and portability of data | You can request the rectification of any of your personal information if it is “inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous” or if its collection, communication or storage is not authorized by law. You can request the cessation of the dissemination of your personal information or the de-indexing of any hyperlink giving access to your information if the dissemination contravenes the law or a court order, or causes you serious prejudice relating to the right to respect for your reputation. or private life. Cybersecurity incident management, incident registry and breach reporting. | We will notify you and government authorities, including the Governmental Data Breach Commission, of any privacy incident that “presents a risk of serious harm being caused”. Under Law 25, a “confidentiality incident” means access to personal information, its use or its communication if it is not authorized by law, as well as the loss of personal information or any other breach of the protection of such information which relates to a person and makes it possible, directly or indirectly, to identify that person. Alliance Credit holds and maintains a registry of all confidentiality incidents in the manner prescribed by regulation, regardless of the risk of serious harm they could pose. |

Alliance Credit; Master Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy sets out how personal information is collected and used, which is provided on the Internet website located at https://alliancecredit.ca/en/ (the « Site ») as well as the Alliance Credit Platform located at https://portail.alliancecredit.ca/ (the « Portal »). Unless otherwise stated, this privacy policy applies only to personal information collected through Alliance Credit. By using Alliance Credit technology, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service, as they may be amended from time to time in the future (see “Amendment to this Privacy Policy” below).
Alliance Credit is committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and security of all personal information concerning our users. This privacy policy explains how we protect the personal information provided via Alliance Credit technology and how we use this information as part of our service offered via Alliance Credit technology (the “Service”). “Personal Information” for the purposes of this Privacy Policy means information that identifies you. Alliance Credit emphasizes its confidentiality and security standards to guard against identity theft and ensure the security of your personal information. We regularly reassess our privacy and security policies and adapt them as necessary to meet new challenges.
When you visit the Site, the Portal or download and use our Services, we may automatically collect certain information sent to us by your computer, mobile device or other device. This information may include the type of device you are using, operating system, device identifier (or “UDID”), your IP address, location, mobile network information, and network information. standard web log, such as your browser’s type traffic to and from our site, the pages you accessed on our sites, and other available information. We may also collect information about your use of and interaction with our Sites, our mobile application or our Services. For example, we may assess your computer, mobile phone or other access device to identify any malicious software or activity that may affect the availability of the Services. We may use the information you provide to connect you with people you may already know. For example, through our mobile application, we can identify contacts in your address book as potential new Alliance Credit users. We may match the contact information you provide to information provided by other users to improve the Service, including by facilitating the search for contacts you can refer to Alliance Credit who are not already customers.
If you would like to subscribe to our newsletter(s), we will use your name and email address to send you the newsletter. Out of respect for your privacy, you can opt-out of receiving our newsletter or marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in those emails, by accessing the email preferences in your account settings page or you can contact us at the information above. Cookies / Tracking Technologies
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on our Sites. We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our sites.
We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period. Notice regarding ‘Do Not Track’
Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that users can set in certain web browsers. We do not currently recognize or respond to DNT signals.

The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information, such as a credit card number or financial or other information without limitation to the above, on our forms, we encrypt the transmission of this information using Secure Socket technology. Layer (SSL). We have implemented reasonable and appropriate measures to protect the security of the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
